We are now a family of three. Amelia Rachel Rustrum arrived Wednesday night the 21st at 9pm after a non-aggressive two day induction that ended in a 21 labor of love! She was 7lbs 15ozs, 21.5 inches. She is very calm and been a pure joy although she does have her days and nights mixed up right now… so we’re quite exhausted! Thanks for all the prayers. We were able to have an almost completely med free birth (except for the three induction pills on Monday and Tuesday!)
Being a new parent is an amazing experience. A baby is someone who is constantly dependent upon their parents and it is hard for us to adjust to that kind of responsibility. More than anything, it is hard to adjust to the fact that there are now three of us. We have been married for 12 years with no children so having a baby is quite a new experience for us. Our hearts and our minds are with this little one so much. We dream about what she’ll be like when she gets older, we constantly fawn over her, she means so much to us. What a blessing!
