Dear Friends,
Wanted to update you on a few amazing things we are seeing on campus this spring. God’s spirit has really been moving among our students this quarter. It’s been really awing to witness.
At the beginning of the quarter in early April we had an outreach with an illusionist on campus. (If you want to read more about it, checkout the archives page.) To prepare our students before this event we reviewed with them how to share their faith and bring up spiritual conversations. Emboldened by this review they began to share their faith more around campus in general, not just at the event or around it. In the past 8 weeks we have seen 10 students and the younger brother of one of the girls in our group commit their life to Christ! It has truly been a miraculous quarter. And, as the year draws to a close, we feel we are living out Galatians 6:9 “ Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
We are saddened that the school year is ending (there is only two weeks left, one being finals). We feel we haven’t had adequate time to follow up these students. We’ve been trying to build relationships with them quickly and have had a few over for dinner. We are hoping that some will come to our next familia dinner on Thursday night.
Pray with us that God grows them over the summer, as we are not going to be able to finish following up most of them until the fall as the school year is ending so soon. You can pray for them by name… Brian, Joaquin, Roxanne, Efren, Andres, Alex, George, Ashley, Jeimi, Chris, and Erika's Brother.
