Pray... Care... Share
The End of February this year we had an outreach called “Pray… Care… and Share”. The concept for the outreach is that every student picks three to five people God has placed in their lives that do not know Christ. They commit a week to “pray” for them and then the second week they “care” for them by taking them out to coffee or do some gesture that shows they care. After they have established they care, then they set up another time to share the gospel with them. This is a very effective evangelism strategy because our students are sharing the gospel with people the Lord had already positioned in their lives. We have seen many students come to Christ through this outreach. Our students and staff have had over one hundred spiritual conversations with those in their lives, shared the gospel, how to be filled with the Holy Spirit and seen several people come to Christ. This outreach has transformed our campus for Christ community.
An exciting story from Nalani and Pav who are on staff here in Davis… they invited a friend named Henry and his house mate Alex over for dinner. They showed them 2 short films after dinner that had spiritual themes to them to help spark some spiritual conversation. The next day Henry came over and they went for a walk. On their walk Nalani got to ask Henry a lot of questions about his strong desire to know God. After about a half an hour of walking she asked if he had ever had the chance to personally receive Christ as his Lord and Savior. He said no. She then asked him if he wanted to and he said YES! So, they sat down on the side walk in Nalani’s neighborhood and he prayed to receive Christ! Praise the Lord for our new brother in Christ! Now, Nalani is meeting with him for five mini Bible studies to give him the foundational truths of living the Christian life.

"Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things." Phil 4:8
